"My son asked me to tell you that he got an A on his chem test."
- K., Wellesley, MA (a mother of an AP Chem student) -
Many students find AP Chemistry challenging because many problems contain multiple parts. As a result, students often do not know how to approach the problems. Even when they know how to start the questions, there are many rooms for mistakes. In addition, students are required to remember large overarching concepts as well as exceptions to the rules. Consequently, students either get confused or forget the concepts.
Despite these challenges, you will always find some students who do exceptionally well. The good news is that you can be one of these students. We will help you beat that curve. This could involve clarifying any commonly confused concepts, clear explanations in ways you can apply to seemingly different problems, pointers on how we think and approach the problems efficiently and reduce mistakes, and additional drilling to ensure mastery. Our intimate knowledge of the topics will help you stand out, and we will make sure that you do well—even if that means changing our proposed curriculum. Check out the testimonials on the bottom of this page to see how other students like you were able to do so well.

Lesson Plan
Below is the tentative schedule. We are scheduled to cover the materials at a pace of a typical AP Chemistry class. However, we will slow down if necessary.
You are welcome to join us after the class begins on October 28. If your school curriculum is substantially behind, we will hold special sessions to help you adjust. After the AP exam, we will help you prepare for the June 6 SAT Subject Test: Chemistry, but, of course, you're not required to join if you're not planning to take the SAT Chemistry soon.

Textbooks
We like to start studying each concepts using the popular textbook Zumdahl's Chemistry. We then like to use own sets of multiple choice questions since the students tend to struggle with them. At the end of the year, we use Princeton Review's AP Chemistry study guide to help them prepare for the AP exam.
Our Own Sets of Additional Multiple Choice Questions (60+ Problems Per Chapter)
